Let that light shine!

The Bible tells us to let our light shine, so that others will be drawn towards God through our everyday actions. Even if you don't have a chance to talk to a certain person often, you can still be a light to them. Actions speak louder than words...MUCH louder sometimes. Just because someone is quiet, or doesn't seem the most friendly, they are still watching and observing to see how you act. Just by living for God, and making wise decisions, or just being a difference, the one that stands out, is being a light!  It is hard sometimes, especially when you're the only one. But stand strong, and ask Jesus to help you be who HE wants you to be. You never know, you could be the only light in someone's path, the only person that they will ever have in their life to be a difference.

So, let that light shine! :)

Grace, Gold, & Glory

Just wanted to write a book review about Grace, Gold, & Glory, by Gabrielle Douglas which I have read recently. I just loved it!

Grace, Gold, & Glory, by Gabrielle Douglas is a great book to read! Gabrielle vividly takes the reader through her journey to the 2012 Olympics. First, I would like to give you a critique of what I enjoyed best from reading this amazing autobiography.

After difficult beginning years, Gabrielle Douglas, ("Gabby"), first took gymnastics lessons at age 6. She kept on with gymnastics through the years in difficult, strenuous training, that leads to trying our for the Olympic team. Gabby's mom, Natalie Douglas, worked many hours in her double shifts as a banker to pay for her daughter's expensive training, which would, in the end pay off! After her 15th Winter birthday, Gabby trained especially hard with her new coach, Liang Chow, for the 2012 London Olympic Trials. Not everyone gets to be on Team USA. With God's help, Gabrielle made it to London as one of the 5 gymnasts chosen! Day after Olympic day, Team USA gymnasts performed on the beam, vault, bars, and floor, which the judges strictly judged. Even 1/2 a point could determine whether you would be the all-around champion or not. Through determination and perseverance, Gabrielle Douglas was the first African-American woman to be an all-around winner and a Team USA champion, taking home 2 gold medals!

So, what are you waiting for? Make sure to read Grace, Gold, & Glory to explore many more exciting details that I left out for you to discover! This book truly portrays that with perseverance, your dreams, with God's help, can come true.

Evolution Vs. God!

So you think it takes more faith to believe in God than Evolution? Just wait till you watch this video! It will definitely be an encouragement to you to know what you believe and why you believe it! Ray Comfort corners atheists in such a great way that brings them to think seriously about their eternity. When you think about it, and study the facts, there is really no proof for the big lie of Evolution. It takes much more faith to believe in a big bang that brought about the whole world from nothing at all! It makes much more sense to believe in a creator who intelligently designed the Universe....
Can't wait to hear your comments about it after watching!

Shirley & Marcy

This is a funny story I love....pass it on! :)

Shirley & Marcy

A mother was concerned about her kindergarten son walking to school. He didn't want his mother to walk with him. She wanted to give him the feeling that he had some independence but yet know that he was safe.
So she had an idea of how to handle it. She asked a neighbor if she would please follow him to school in the mornings, staying at a distance, so he probably wouldn't notice her. She said that since she was up early with her toddler anyway, it would be a good way for them to get some exercise as well, so she agreed.

The next school day, the neighbor and her little girl set out following behind Timmy as he walked to school with another neighbor girl he knew. She did this for the whole week.

As the two kids walked and chatted, kicking stones and twigs, Timmy 's little friend noticed the same lady was following them as she seemed to do every day all week. Finally she said to Timmy, 'Have you noticed that lady following us to school all week? Do you know her?'

Timmy nonchalantly replied, 'Yeah, I know who she is.'

The little girl said, 'Well, who is she?'

'That's just Shirley Goodnest, 'Timmy replied, 'and her daughter Marcy.'

'Shirley Goodnest? Who is she and why is she following us?

'Well,' Timmy explained, 'every night my Mum makes me say the 23rd Psalm with my prayers, 'cuz she worries about me so much. And in the Psalm, it says, ' Shirley Goodnest and Marcy shall follow me all the days of my life', so I guess I'll just have to get used to it!'

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you; the Lord lift His countenance upon you, and give you peace.

May Shirley Goodnest and Marcy be with you today and always

I know you smiled!

I sure did.
Pass this on And brighten someone's day!
Please pray that Shirley Goodnest & Marcy go with everyone you love!!!
